Pergola Repair and Stability Check
Said he would replace the broken pergola and took photos and measurements. But we ended up with a shorter pergola by about one and a half feet, with 3 narrower uprights that don't fit in the original met posts. He said he could chip out the old wood from the met posts and reuse them. Two uprights have bits of wood jammed in the met posts to hold them straight. One upright is pushed directly into the soil because the Pergola is too short. He said it won't rot because it is treated. It rocks when birds sit on it and the wind blows. He tried to refuse to take the broken pergola away although this was prearranged, but did when I pointed out it was agreed in the texts sent. For that, he asked for £360 cash only, it is a waste of money as it will have to be redone. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

W&J construction sw ltdTurned up to the customers house and fitted the pengolia, it was built of thicker timber then what was there originally, and to same parameters. Tye garden was a absolute dump and not kept. They wanted to save costs the wedges are to level the posts as the existing base plates are not level . Did a walk around customer was happy and paid , I never said cash only so not sure what that's about. And i havnt been contacted by the customer with a complaint so rather surprised. Just a warning to any other trades stay away from this one as a horrible karren.
