EICR for 2 Bedroom House
Dave from the Tool Box completed the initial EICR for me (with delays/ rescheduling due to traders not attending at scheduled times). They told me there were serious faults and I agreed for them to carry out remedial works they recommended. They quoted me £420+VAT for aspects of the work which we agreed for them to complete, and there were several further delays when a trader did not attend at the agreed time and then Dave was slow to respond to messages when trying to rearrange. When the trader did attend, the work took only one hour and I felt I had been significantly overcharged, as based on the cost I had assumed it would be a bigger job. Following the work, I received an invoice which stated the new EICR would be supplied upon payment. I promptly paid the full amount and did not receive the EICR. This was several weeks ago and I have still not received it despite numerous e-mails, texts and calls to Dave to chase this. He has provided conflicting reasons for the delay on each occasion. I will now sadly be having to report this business to Trading Standards for breach of contract, since the supply of the EICR was integral to the commissioned works.
