Plaster Skimming
My first interaction with Chris was lovely. He was friendly and informative. Unfortunately things went a bit south from there. The day he was meant to start work he messaged to say he was leaving. Then he never shows up and radio silence. When I eventually heard from him about 6-7 hours later he apologised as he had to attend an emergency....no problem! Came and started the work. The next day he messages in the morning to say he was leaving to get to me and then turns up over 2 hours later. The following day again messages in the morning to tell me he will be with me in the next hour......8 hours later he turns up! By this point asking for more money (already paid him for the cost of materials and more) when the job hasn't been completed. With the lack of communication during the week I was reluctant so said we would settle the balance on completion of the job. Chris became quite authoritative and pushy. He said he wouldn't leave until he had more money this making me feel very uncomfortable in my own home with my young child with me so I kindly asked him to leave. After he left and packed his things away i have discovered he has taken power tools along with other tools which we use regularly as we are currently doing a full home renovation. Very upset and disappointed that we are now going down the route of reporting theft and taking this further.

T.C.Plastering & MaintenanceSam I kept you informed and your job on track (even moving work around) would have completed when we said. Your husband was aggressive and basically told me what he'd pay for the job, and finding out you never told him the real price. On top of that I saved you complete an utter heartache, cost, and mess in the future by pointing out and diagnosing that the walls were shot (your husband basically accused me of deliberately doing it) and to top it all I LOST money on the job I was willing to finish until you rudely asked me to leave, accusing me of being unfriendly. In the haste in which you wanted me to leave I did accidentally have the sander in my tool basket which I will return like I said I would. This job strikes me as one that was not willing to pay in the end and to cap it all your husband didn't know what the price was you agreed to.

Plaster Skimming
Chris kept me informed, throughout and explained the process, which evolved a little as it went on. Plastering is a messy business, so expected some residual stuff to clean out. A few spills of PVA have escaped the sheets. Overall, very pleased with the job.
