Lay Concrete Floor in Small Room
Very unsatisfied. I had to finish the job myself. He hadn’t brought sufficient materials (cement) and had forgotten to check whether the floor was level, so when the self-levelling cement was poured it left a third uncovered. The main guy (can’t remember his name) was kind when I became upset about being asked for more money to come back & finish the job, he told me he’d come the following day, so I paid him what we’d agreed would be a decent price for the small job it was. But he didn’t come the next day, nor the 2nd day, nor the third (though he repeatedly told me he was coming). In the end, I just went & bought the cement, mixed & poured it myself and then trimmed the damp-proof membrane. I had already cut & laid the damp proof myself anyway so, all-in-all, I paid £275 for 1 man to pour 2 buckets of cement on a pre-prepared surface while the main guy and his friend hung around doing nothing. As I say, the main guy was kind when he realised how upset I was, at being asked for more money (an extra £150 for pouring one bucket of cement) but he didn’t take on board the fact that this had to be completed urgently, and left the job for 3 days, til I eventually gave up waiting. Apparently he did eventually show up, but by then the job was done. I would not recommend this firm.
