Steve was excellent. Took pride in completing a job which had some difficulties to an excellent standard. We would have no hesitation in hiring Steve again or recommending to friends. .

Living Room Engineered Wood Installation
I'm afraid I'm left feeling taken advantage of after completion of this job. The standard of finish is not acceptable for someone who claims to have 30 years experience. I was pushed into paying for the job quickly, and have since discovered a miriad of problems that had been hidden by cleverly placed items, as well as finding damage to floorboards that I noticed after having no choice but to clean glue off the surface myself when it was not done to satisfaction. Steve tried to leave rubbish in my house even though his quote included removal of rubbish, and he also ruined a lot of good quality oak skirting by not taking appropriate care to fit it correctly. He also does not listen effectively or respect requests. I would not recommend him. I have also discovered he got floor adhesive on my new couch! I do not feel that I can get back in contact with him to rectify the issues since payment, not do I trust him to put things right, so I will now have to pay for someone else to help salvage the flooring.

Steve Trenchard Oak FlooringThis was my welcome to Somerset and the West job 😂😂. Having worked on mainly listed buildings for nearly 30yrs in South Buckinghamshire we with a host of returning customers -some for neatly 20 years I had thought these customers only existed on TikTok. The oiled floor wouldn’t clean well as,despite advice (wood being hydroscopic) , as the customer insisted it was wiped with water instead of a spirit based cleaner.I had forgotten the warning signs and will we wary if jobs in this area of Bristol in future. She had prepared a many page email that despite being happy when I left arrived less than 20 mins later saying I had workers quicker than she expected she wasn’t going to pay the agreed amount. customers like this are very few and far between and you live and learn in a new area. All customers since on here have re-established my faith and have been fabulous folk. I know I do a thorough and caring job and the history of my works and customers is very extensive with happy customers on flooring jobs from £500/£50,000
