Paint External Wooden Wall Panels
Unfortunately I've been left very unhappy with the services of this painter and can't recommend them to anyone else. The quote was very high for a very small job, so at least I expected some quality out of it. The job didn't start well, as the painters ladder wasn't tall enough for it. I was a bit surprised because I clearly specified in the job description the exact height of the cladding to be painted and mentioned that a very long ladder would be required. The painter was extremely lucky that there was a roofer working on my property that day and they were able to borrow the ladder from them. Once the job was finished I was left speechless when I saw the result. The painter failed to fully remove the old paint (that was flaking off) and just painted over it. When I complained they spent another 10 minutes on it and called it done. We were so far in our views on what a good job looks like that I gave up arguing with them and just paid them in full. The fun fact was that I painted the same cladding on the other side of the house with exactly the same paint myself and achieved a far better result, in my opinion, than these "professionals".

RM, PDSHi there. Thank you for your review. I appreciate all reviews, good and bad. It's an excellent way to learn and progress. However I do find some of your issues a bit off the mark. Firstly. The price was agreed a few months prior to the work starting and you were under no obligation to accept the price. The price was based on two men doing the work, which is very competitive. The ladder issue, I do accept this. However if you recall when we first spoke. I explained that if my ladder was too small, I'd hire one. I would have done that on the day the work was to be done. But luckily the other tradesman was willing to swap with us. The work involved sanding down 3 panels that were roughly 2m by 1 meter. These were sanded down using appropriate tools for the job. Tools that made it efficient and quicker than it would have taken 1 man to do himself with a bit of sanding paper ( as you said you did ). It doesn't take 4 hours to sand 2 m by 1 m panels. The area you were unhappy with was addressed and you stated it was ' a million times better'. I left the job on the understanding that you were happy with what was done. You even paid the bill within a couple of hours. I have a very proud record with all the jobs I carry out, however I am also realistic and understand that not all jobs go to plan. I am more than happy to address any further issues you have so that everyone can be satisfied.
Paint Bedroom, Bath Ceilings, New Doors
A great job of painting main bedroom , 2 bathroom ceilings with mould protection paint and 6 new internal doors. Finished well, completely tidied up once work was finished. Very pleased with the result, next job hooked snd would recommend Richard. Reliable snd friendly service

Paint and Wallpaper Multiple Rooms
RM,PDS is worth more than excellent. I would recommend RM his work is to a high standard, he supplied the paint. Arrived on time, finished the job when he said he would. A friendly guy who is a credit to his profession. The standard of his preparation, and painting is unbelievable. He works solidly from start to finish. RM is coming back to do more decorating for us. I cannot recommend him enough. You will be hard pushed to find a P&D who completes a job to RM standard.
