I work in Bath, Bristol and surrounding areas I specialise in bespoke built in storage solutions, (wardrobes,, shelving , alcove units,), all 2nd fix / finishing carpentry ( doors, internal and external, skirting flooring,,kitchen fitting. Realsolutions carpentry and JoineryHi Timothy, Firstly thanks for your review. I am sorry to hear that you felt the finish could have been better and in some ways I wouldn't disagree, However, I could only work with the materials supplied for the job., as well as working with the original old door linings present since the house was built. The Ironmongery was not entirely compatible (Latches and handles) and required modifications to work which is normally not necessary. Also the door linings were slightly over and under-sized as well as twisted, due to movement over the years which made fitting the doors precisely difficult. Being as they are engineered Oak doors, you can only remove so much material from the door edge and you certainly cannot add it on. I did try my best in the circumstances but regardless,, my apologies if you feel it could have been a better finish. I always strive to provide the best finish possible hence the reason I normally recommend or purchase the materials required for a job myself in order to maintain strict quality control throughout.
