I will not recommend Raymond Rose for tiling or other work, at least please do not pay him more than 20% before you see the work is nearly finished. I found Raymond for a bathroom and a WC tiling and installation. I paid him 25% of the labor fees as a deposit before he started the job on the 14th July. Then he asked us to pay 50% of the rest of the money on the day he ripped off all the toilet/ tiles and bathtub on the 27th July. He left a toilet for emergency usage, but the toilet was removed in August. The house does not have a toilet after that day. He promised to finish the work in mid-August initially, but he delayed the finish date to late-August because of some personal issue. We can understand that because we will not move into the house until 12th Sep. We've stressed our move-in date many times before September and give him more time to finish the project. He promised that he can finish it before we move in. However, both bathroom and WC are all in blank status when we move in on 12th Sep. He promised to come and install a toilet for temporary usage before we move in. However, on the day we moved in, he told me he cannot show up until I pay him 50% of the rest of the money. This means that we will not have a toilet if I do not pay him the money which should be paid after the project is finished. I believe that he was taking advantage of the situation. My family and I did not even have a toilet when we moved in, it is really unacceptable. Thankfully he installed the toilet 1 day after we moved in, and we asked him to finish everything in the bathroom asap because we did not have a shower or bathtub before the bathroom was finished. Unsurprisingly, we do not have a shower or bathtub for 1 month. My family and I have to drive 30 mins to my friend's home to take a shower. He promised so many times about the finish date, but he cannot even show up. He had many excuses to refuse to come, we have to cancel his work in mid-October. Before I started the cancellation, I gave him so many chances to finish the work. He agreed to sign an agreement about the work plan to make sure everything can be finished on time. However, after 1 week of negotiation, he refused to sign the agreement even though the dates and liquidated damages were proposed by him. I believe that this is because he prepared to break the promise again and he proved my judgment with practical actions. Moreover, there is a big gap between the tiles he purchased and the money we paid. He refused to refund the labour fee and the extra money for materials, but he changed his mind after we showed him Customer Rights Act 2015 and all evidence about his behaviour. He asked us to pay him the rest of the money in August and September because of his personal difficulty. Currently, I paid him 80% of the total fund (£3262.5) but he only did around 50% of the whole work. I have to find someone else to finish this project after 1 month we moved in. It is REALLY UNACCEPTABLE for me and my family. Hopefully I can get the money back

Ray did a great job on our bathroom and kitchen, he is very exact, making sure that the job is really well done. He gave us advice throughout on the materials and the best way to do things. Really friendly, nice guy as well.

When Ray and I first spoke I relayed to him what was going on in the shower. We were both expecting the job to be much bigger than it turned out to be. However, once Ray had examined the problem extensively, he rectified it easily with his knowledge of the product saving me money and time. I am very grateful to him and would not hesitate to recommend him.

Far over priced to fit one tile ( £210 ) sorry not acceptable .
