Roof Repair
David provided me with two quotes to address a leak in my slate roof. Quote 1 involved fixing the lead flashing around the chimney area, while quote 2 included removing the entire chimney with a promised 5-year guarantee on either option. We agreed on removing the chimney, but David arrived very late on the scheduled day, after 13:00, and claimed he couldn't find the same slates as those on my roof. Consequently, he could only perform the fixing option and had to return the next day to complete the job. Finally, on 18/11/2023, David finished the repair. However, less than seven weeks later, on 5/1/2024, the roof started leaking again from the same spot. I reached out to David, and he assured me he would send someone to inspect the issue, but I'm still waiting. If necessary, I plan to pursue a claim through the small claims court. Based on my experience, I strongly advise against entrusting David with any significant repair work.
