Lewis was very polite when I called to ask about my mother's small garden. I live 200 miles away so I had to arrange Lewis to visit my mother to provide a quotation. My mother will be 90 in July so she can no longer cut the little hedge, cut back her few shrubs and weed. She also has a small area of lawn to be mowed. My mother didn't think and agreed the work, without discussing with me. She was originally quoted £500 but this quickly went to £250 to perform the work listed above. Lewis and his colleague did this work within an hour as the garden is small and they left. My mother called after they left, very distressed as the work had not been performed to a high standard as one would expect from a professional gardener and the lawn had not been mowed so for the price, she was very upset and felt she had not received value for money. I spoke to Lewis who said he had not been able to mow the lawn, even though this had been agreed, as the ground was wet. Lewis was not happy that I had complained about the work but did agree to return and cut the grass. A week later, I called Lewis as I had not received the receipt I requested nor had the lawn been cut. Lewis said he would 'try to squeeze it in next week'. After another 10 days and, still no receipt of lawn cut so I called again. Lewis said he would go in the 'next couple of weeks as so busy'. I said I thought he had no intention of doing this, but I would see and give it another couple of weeks. He said his 'head was all over the place' as he was so busy and could I remind him to return. I declined as I do not see that it should be for the customer to do this. Lewis said somethig that I could not hear and hung up on me. Over two weeks have passed and Lewis has not made any contact. Hence, I would not trust or use his services again and would not recommend. I appreciate that coming into spring and summer, is a busy time for gardners but I would suggest that by being organised, making notes of customers to return to and lists of jobs to do such as writing receipts and other admin, also needs time management. Looking after customers means one then has returning customers who are loyal and recommend and just demonstrates a caring and professional image.

Completed in a day, arrived on time and completed roofing job as quoted. All debris removed after job.
