I have been doing all aspects of Property Maintenance for the last 34 years.
Apart from painting I repair windows/roofs/plumbing/garden fencing/guttering, etc
I identified an area early on that was badly catered for and still is to this day. Namely poorly painted exterior weatherboard and windows. There is a mistaken belief that modern paints are not as good as the old lead paints. I have proved over 30 years that is a fallacy. 6 to 8 years even on the south side paintwork will be nearly pristine but as has always been the case preparation is key. It is no good applying paint to embrittled coatings, so when needed I will remove existing coatings and start with a clean surface with a proven track record of longevity to boot
