Bathroom, Kitchen and WC Plumbing
Sad to say this job is a disaster from my perspective and I am now having to find a new company to re-do the job. Having syripped out the old sink and bath and removed the tiles where agreed, the plumbing for the new wall hung sink is at the wrong height, the walls were not prepared properly for tiling which has resulted in tiles breaking and, where they have adhered, being uneven and chipped. The new grout is much darker than the original. I did question his decisions throughout but was re-assured at every step. He ran out of time so I have been left with no bathroom and having tofind a new company. He did say he would come back to finish the job, but on closer inspection, the work needs to be removed and started again. An expensive mistake on my part. I do not think this was intentional, rather an over reach re: skills and competence for the job. Training and updates in plastering, tiling and preparation for bathrooms rather than just plumbing would be a first step I think. Also, aim for best practice.
