I originally gave Darren 5 stars as he was very quick to respond to my job ad (he phoned within 20 mins) and came out an hour and a half later. I had a new gas oven that needed installing. Darren said that he’d need to move the gas fitting as it was too low to the floor and didn’t meet current health and safety standards. An hour later the job was done…except the oven was 4 inches away from the wall (and therefore hot oil etc from the hob would potentially be able to splash down the back of the oven onto the electricity cable and gas pipe). He said he could come back and put on a different fitting for free but he didn’t have one with him. I accepted his offer, paid him his money and left him a review as he’d requested. The following day Darren asked me to transfer him an additional £18 so he could order the new fitting, which I did in good faith. Since then (over a month later) I have asked Darren 7 times when he can come back out. Three times Darren has told me a day (and one time even a precise time) but has never showed up and never let me know he wasn’t coming. He’s always had plenty of excuses when he does finally reply to me though. I finally gave up all hope and asked for my £18 back and the gas certificate for the work he’d done, which I’d requested in the job advert and on the phone. Darren quickly replied to say he’d come out on Tuesday (4th March) but once again, no sign of him nor any contact. I have since seen other reviews on here from people who have had the same experience. It may only be £18 that I’m out of pocket (on top of the original money paid) but I’ve waited in for Darren to come and sort the problem he said he’d fix several times now and I have an oven that doesn’t fit flush to the wall (even though it could have even with its original fitting), nor a gas certificate, meaning I will need to contact the Gas Safe Register and get someone to come out and check it. I have since asked again for my £18 back and certificate but still no response. The saga continues…
Darren was excellent. Found the leak and repaired it. I would certainly have him again. Nice personality and pleasant in the house.

Darren was incredibly kind and thoughtful! He expertly removed the fireplace and even put it out for pickup, saving me the trouble of carrying it. Before leaving, he made sure to test the boiler and gas for safety. I highly recommend Darren for his professionalism and excellent service.
Darren got to me on the day after I requested due to an emergency job but did come first thing as promised. This was fine as my job wasn't an emergency. Came on site and explained what was wrong withy boilers, the guage was broken and there was no thermostat to use. Got the job done quickly and serviced the boiler and got the parts needed. Would recommend.
Darren arrived on site within 90 minutes of being given the job. He completed the job easily and tidied up any mess made.
