Florin and Alex pushed for the contract and gave an excellent price and began work straight away. Soon Florin began demanding more money and advised additional works required (at an additional charge) There was no transparency what was being done and how much was being spent other than demanding more money or threatening to not complete the work. Florin then raised issue with working alongside other trades on site all the while demanding more money and even asking for money to send back to Romania for his mother. He gave the reason he negotiated the price of work and so he thought I would do him a favour. All the while we paid whatever he asked despite him not completing works. I accommodated to his schedule and cleared the site for him to work alone. The night before he said he could not return for another because he is prioritising another job. This is only because I messaged to ask. He did not communicate out of his own courtesy. When I raised our concerns he said he could not work like this - went to the site and removed his equipment- we can’t get in contact with him. He has left a skip on site and is refusing to pay back the excess money. He has exaggerated materials list as costs. For example using 50 plasterboards but charging for 100 inclusive of VAT. Steer clear. Perhaps he can do a single day work and one-off jobs but larger projects are not suitable for Florin and his team.

Florin was fantastic and the most reasonable quote I received, would definitely recommend. Responded very quickly to my messages and was able to come and complete the job within 24 hours of the posting. He was a friendly guy and even helped in moving some of the bulkier furniture for me.
