We hired Henry after receiving several quotes as he promised us a perfect finish on our dream bathroom. We wanted the toilet and bathroom knocking into one and a wetroom to be created. Henry assured us that the design we loved was possible, and he would have it done in two weeks. Unless I write an essay, it is not possible to document just exactly what a nightmare it turned into. Henry does not reply to messages. The team does not turn up on time or some days don't turn up at all. The communication is poor, to say the least, and the workmanship is nowhere near the standard that was promised. A few examples: the plaster which has had to be redone (Henry even stated it was not a good finish)still looks rough after several coats of paint, the tiles are still chipped, the drain in the shower which was supposed to be brushed brass (to match the rest of the bathroom) is chrome, even though Henry was told repeatedly about this. Every piece of bathroom furniture we purchased was damaged. Our replacement rainfall shower head went missing, and they'd taken it as rubbish.... which is unusual as they left every other bit of rubbish. We were left without a toilet for days. We didn't have a sink or shower for weeks. They left our old toilet on my carpet in my spare room without anything to protect my carpet (this will also need replacing). They cut tiles in my home, creating dust from one end of our house to the other. They showed absolutely no respect for our home at all. To make everything worse, Henry promised to put everything right. He said he would refund us for the shower head and a replacement toilet unit, which we purchased to replace the one he chipped. We are now nearly 4 weeks on from that promise, and nothing has appeared. He says he will send the money when we message and then nothing. Henry blames the delays on us, saying we changed things. We had no choice. The design didn't work. If we'd have let him carry on with no changes, we would be burning our legs on the radiator every time we use the toilet. There would be nowhere to put a toilet roll. So we made practical changes that needed to be done. The whole purpose of paying Henry 8k was for him to design and fit our dream bathroom. In the end, we finished it ourselves, we had to throw away a wall hung unit as it simply didn't fit, and they chipped it anyway. We had to plumb our own sink back in. They also chipped the front of this. We've had to replace cracked and chipped tiles and regrout the shower floor as they used the darker wall grout on the floor, so I had 2 shades of grout on my floor. There are so many other things I could say, but there just aren't the words to express what a nightmare this has been. We still haven't been refunded for the damage or the shower head that was taken. Henry was just interested in getting paid, he even asked for money before the job was complete (going against his own terms and conditions), now he owes us some money its like getting blood from a stone. His promises are empty!
