I am a ‘handyman’ out of choice, following my early retirement in 2014 from my role as a change management consultant. I have made myself available to help people out with handyman jobs because I just love doing DIY and especially enjoy woodworking. Over the years I have collected a fairly comprehensive set of tools and I just like putting them to use.
Unlike some who say ‘no job is too small’ but really prefer to do larger jobs, I actually prefer the small jobs. I’m happy to change a lightbulb, patch up a broken loft hatch or trim a door that isn’t closing properly. (jobs I have recently done which were 15 min jobs). I prefer to work within a kilometre or 2 of my house at HP2 5DP. I will travel further if your need is great, but with petrol prices so high these days I will need to charge mileage (£0.50/km + VAT each way) to cover costs of travel. I charge £30/Hour + VAT or £7.50 + VAT for every 15 minutes. However for people who are single parents, blue badge holders or those receiving state benefits, I offer a £10/hour + VAT discount making the charge £20 + VAT an hour or £5 + VAT for every 15 minutes I am doing things for you. If you live 15 minutes drive or more away, I also charge my travel time at £5 + VAT for every 15 min of driving (£20/hr + VAT).
I don’t really give quotes, I just come along and do what ever you’d like me to do and charge however long it takes.
I hope this helps give you a little insight to who I am and how I work.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Regards
