Mixed Waste Collection and Removal
I hired John to collect and dispose of waste, and I am absolutely furious with his behaviour. We initially agreed on £1,150, but after seeing the rubbish in person and via WhatsApp images and videos, John increased the price to £1,800. Once he started loading the van, he raised the price again to £1,900, and I reluctantly agreed, fearing he would dump the rubbish irresponsibly. So far, I have paid John £1,330 (via cash and bank transfer), leaving £570 to be paid once the job was fully completed. Despite receiving this money, John has collected far less waste than I paid for and is now demanding even more money. This is not just unprofessional—it’s outright dishonest and manipulative. John also changed the price per load midway, increasing it from £100 to £150 per load, and added additional charges for petrol, which I agreed to pay. Now, he has completely abandoned the job, leaving the rubbish uncollected and failing to honor the agreement. This man is a scammer who takes advantage of people, especially those in urgent need of help. He has wasted my time and money, and I strongly advise anyone looking to stay far away from him. Do not trust John—HE WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND LEAVE YOU WITH UNFINISHED WORK!!!!
