Re-lead and Repair Two Chimneys
i asked for a quote to relead 2 chimney and to replace the cement cap on top of one of them when i accepted the quote i made it clear not to be done in freezing temps as i was concered aout the cement freezing and cracking and not curing properly I also aske if they had a way to protect the cement from freezing ad wet weather he said he did They turned up at 4pm and started the work working of a ladder in the dark They did one chimey and denied i had asked for the other one to be done and wanting payment The quote given was i line for what i had asked for After arguing the case he immediatley dropped the price to what is roughly right for the work done on one chimney which indicates he knew he was in the wrong Probabley trying it on thiking they could rip of a woman Could not check the work as it was dark This mornig i checked what had been done The lead has not been tied ito the brickwork at all just placed over the rickwork i cant see for sure but it looks like the cement cap has not been fully replaced just the bit aroud the chimney pot and a couple of bricks on the top row which could of benefited from some pointing has not been done either Over night a heavy frost and freezing has occured I have no hope of it lasting at all I was also give a persoal bank account to pay the bill he said he was a sole trader so it was a personal account which is rubbish i to am a sole trader as well and all business monies go into a business account I now have to find someone to do the other chimney

Harrison and co building landscape design and roof repairsWat utter rubbish my email to the customer was front and back of the main chimmney to have led R flashing put on her half of the chimmney which does not require pointing into the brick work this was done at the price agreed also the customers top of her half of the chimmney was rendered and smooth of around the pots as per qouted the mix is a ready made mortor mix with frost proof solution which we have pictures of there was no mention in the job description or in emails about a second chimmney so if any body was being taken advantage of it was my company but being a good company that we are I reduced the price by £280 of which when speaking with the customer not arguing she snatched the invoice of me then made us wait half hour before paying just to add any person who is a sole trader can use personal bank accounts which is normal as I'm not a limited company as we say in the trade you carnt please everyone but in the same token me and my staff do not appreciate being spoken to in the way this customer did to us and the customer clearly started we reduced the price .

fast and skilled workers, left the site tidy with all rubbish removed
