GLOVERS JOINERS have been trading mostly in the East Dunbartonshire area for some 25 years now , doing ALL things carpentry / joinery based with great effect.
Glovers joiners is a small family firm consisting of Martin the father, & Adam the son, they work in tandem to great effect, &; also have fantastic Multi-Trade skills too, based at present in Milngavie but servicing all round this area within a 20 mile radius.
We have developed the old school values of fast, friendly, considerate work done ON time leaving a clean & tidy area before leaving the client with peace of mind knowing that the works are Guaranteed to a high standard.

Martin was very helpful on fixing summer house doors back on, as blown off during high winds. He was very friendly and professional and even offered to come back next day and fix broken hinges on garden gate. Very helpful service, will keep his number for any future jobs. Thanks Martin. Glovers Joinersits not normal practice to sand down THE TOP OF A DOOR ! why would you ? nobody sees it as for the mess I asked your son for a dustpan & brush but got told he didnt know where it was but dont worry he'd clean the mess !

Shaved top of door but didn't sand or down and left mess of shavings for me to clear up

Flat Pack Furniture Assembly
I hired Martin to build flat pack sideboard, It was built okay but the drawers and the doors where all at different levels when he had finished, Martin blamed the push to open door and drawer catches for this and left me with it like that, Luckily I was going to put handles on the drawers and doors, This allowed me to take these push to close and open catches off, When I took these off the drawers and doors all closed at the same level, When I contacted the place I bought the sideboard from they said these catches had to be adjusted once fitted,z Martin had told me they could not be adjusted

Glovers Joinerswhen I fitted the flatpack & pointed out that the drawers & doors were'nt lining up you said just leave them martin as that must be the way they are built so that's exactly what I did danny, had I known that every one of the 10 latches had to be individually adjusted then the final cost of the job would have been pretty much doubled danny. sorry we don't agree but if the manufacturer does a poor job then the joiner shouldn't be expected to correct it
