GLOVERS JOINERS have been trading mostly in the East Dunbartonshire area for some 25 years now , doing ALL things carpentry / joinery based with great effect.
Glovers joiners is a small family firm consisting of Martin the father, & Adam the son, they work in tandem to great effect, &; also have fantastic Multi-Trade skills too, based at present in Milngavie but servicing all round this area within a 20 mile radius.
We have developed the old school values of fast, friendly, considerate work done ON time leaving a clean & tidy area before leaving the client with peace of mind knowing that the works are Guaranteed to a high standard.

General Maintenance
Very happy with Glover joiners.Martin arrived when he said he would,explained everything he had to do and done the job. Would very highly recommend his company. Ps previous to that we had other companies in and after four weeks we were still waiting on their job quotes where With Martin it was completed in three days.

Glovers Joinerstotal lies I said that I would come back to put edging on as the client got a solid bar edging which you cant use on a bevelled worktop cut edge I did however say that I would come back to seal the worktop with mastic which I was going to do when I bought the edging & after agreeing a price for the other work with Christina I turned up the next day to complete ALL the work inside & out I got a text when I was standing outside her front door at 10 am saying that she had changed her mind re the work &m wouldn't be going ahaead with anything else. when I texted her to say I had already bought ALL the other materials I was told "just take them back to B7Q like I did "! that would have been ok but for the fact I hadn't used B&Q for ALL the timber etc which I had bought & which was already cut to size to get in my car! I was then told to stop texting Christina as she worked for the police & would report me for harassment! which I obviously did. so in a nutshell don't do work for Christina unless your prepared to be out of pocket for materials that you can no longer use on any other job! ps. I didn't say that I was charging you for sealer I said that I would buy colorseal paste that would take away a scratch that was already on the worktop when it was delivered from our friends at B&Q, lastly Christina also said that as she hadn't signed anything that she could do as she pleased, which is true!!! I suppose.
Kitchen Worktops & Cupboards
Martin came to carryout the work. Cut my kitchen worktop to fit in my fridge freezer which was done fine. He also cut a worktop to make a breakfast in my livingroom and fitted it to the wall. Said he would come back and seal it as he had run out of sealer. Asked him to quote a second job which he did but he started adding additional costs for the first job he had done saying I had to buy the sealer etc. Upon getting a second quote I realised Martin was way over charging. Quoted me £160 plus an extra £20 for the first job he didn't finish for me to get the work done by another joiner (at the going average rate) for £75!!!! The second joiner also had to fix the breakfast be as Martin had out it on uneven and it was running at an angle plus the second joiner pointed out nw used a hinge and a bracket to secure it to the wall which also had to be took off and replaced. I would use not recommend him to anyone unless you want to pay double for your jobs and have them not done properly or not finished.

Martin actually improved the gate and bin storage areas and work completed when agreed. Will be in touch and good to find a reliable joiner after being let down by local companies!

I am happy with the work that was done, I found Martin to b an extremely nice man too, I would definitely recommend him, I would ask him to do another job if needed in the future
