Formed in 2008, D+S Builders has many years of experience in the building contractors trade, and provides building services to clients throughout the region. The company is based in Nanpean (St. Austell). No job too small and free estimates are offered.

Plumbing Repair & Maintenance
Very Happy with the service I received. They came and quoted for the work and I accepted the quote. They turned up on the prearranged date to replace the kitchen taps. They fitted them very quickly without any problems. I would highly recommend them.

Internal Painting
Well, let's start with the positives. We asked Dave to strip out 2x ensuites, which he did. He chased wires, and sorted out the plumbing in our old house to be able to cap off the pipes . Let's then move on to the negatives...he left pipes outside in the backyard where he sawed them off the house, he left a hole in the floor, he "patched" a hole where the pipe previously ran which needs to be re done. The house...we agreed 9 days with his team of 4 working to finish our 5 rooms and hallways. After 9 days, we now have 2 unfinished rooms, skirting boards ripped out, doors taken off, and walls that look worse than when we started and a half demolished hallway. Dave did strip some wall paper and partially stripped some gloss on the stairs, but the paint stripping has to be continued and sanded down and prepped. Dave and his 1 employee who showed up part of the time (and was constantly on his phone-I mean, on a ladder painting and had his phone in the other hand), overfilled our walls with the wrong filler which we are now sanding back. There are divets the size of a fifty pence piece noticeable to the eye. He even glossed straight over chipped skirting boards and called it "good". Those skirting we're subsequently ripped out. Additionally, he took up £150 worth of gripped rods for the carpet we needed without asking. These will need to be purchased again. The way I look at it, Dave owes us money. I am extremely unsatisfied as I used this website as a way of checking his ability to do this type of job. I also spoke to 4x references on the phone and they all recommended him! Bottom line, I would not recommend him to do any work. Our house has been left in a state! Waste of time, and waste of money!

D and S BuildersOnly said nine days if walls were ok after stripping but as youknow they were bad so you said about dry linning all walls we rub down skirtings and painted room1but you said you can not get same skirting so will replace all new so we took them all off after all the work we done on them we were suppose to sand down bannisters but you wanted paint burnt off and that was almost finished then you said you want to spot and dab all walls and put new skirtings in all rooms but cant afford to pay more also we boarded all hall after you took down picture rails as it was to damaged you were replacing all doors and frames and you were taking them all off but we ended up stripping room two. When you turned and said that all walls will be dry lined and all skirtings replaced u said you can not pay more than the original estimate and up to me if i carry on working i said i can not work for nothing and we agreed to call it a day. we shook hands and said no hard feelings then you post this review m
Garden Clearance
Would highly recommend, the job was done well,fast and for a good price. I will be using them again for any other jobs i have. Couldn't ask for more fast reliable and affordable.

Bathroom Installation
Absolutely over the moon originally was just going to have the plumbing done but decided to go the full hog. Was really happy with daves work and persona he's what I call an old skool jack off all trades. I decided to ask him to do my other bathroom. Hope to get him back next year to finish my kitchen. You won't be disappointed if you use dave. Huge thumbs up here

We were very happy with the job done,what we asked to be done was completed to a very high standard cleaned up after job,took away all the old shower and all the bits and pieces packaging.Only one to come around to measure and give a quote and start date .Cant praise him enough.

Bathroom Installation
The quote that was given for the work was fantastic and we were highly delighted when the work was able to be done right there on the spot when he came to give us the quote as it was a pretty urgent job. I would highly recommend D and S builders and already have another job in the pipeline for them, I will definitely be recommending them to all my friends and family.......
