Adam came and gave us ‘advice’ for some work on our roof, giving a verbal price of £1,300 and telling us it would take 2 days of work. That sounded a lot but having no idea and listening to the string of work he was going to do we went for it. He phoned at 9:30am on the day he was due to say he would be with us around 10:00am. He turned up on time with his colleague and very quickly pulled us to one side to inform us that he had noticed a lot of other work that needed doing. He quoted £2,300 and said it would be the following week before he could come back. Anyway, after less than half a day at our property he told me they had finished the work and if we could pay them, they would be off. I was really surprised that they could have finished two days work in 3 hours! He told me it was not as difficult a job as he thought!! We could not pay them on day 1, being told it was a two-day job we had arranged for money to be transferred to our account on day 2. He got somewhat agitated at this and insisted that we go and get what cash we could from our building society and then pay the rest the next day. My husband did this and Adam left somewhat disgruntled. Very early on day 2 he phoned to see if we had transferred the rest of his money and rang on several occasions during the day until we had done so. On top of this I’m not sure what he had done on the roof, I certainly was never shown a video. So, either Adam is a very bad estimator of how long work takes, he grossly over-values his time and skill set at around £400 an hour, or both. Other than that, you can form your own opinion. We feel we have been used and badly treated by this man – please do not fall for him and his charming talk. AVOID!

Crown roofing midlandsThanks for your review joy regarding the issues you have raised none of which was pointed out to me when I was onsite £1300 isn't alot of money for the work carried out the partial repointing of 2 chimneys plus ridge tiles the removal of moss from maim roof and the cleaning of gutters, I never left disgruntled as I happily agreed to your payment methods and in regards to the secondary work I simply pointed out to David the large crack in the gable end and David approached me for a qoute and you was given 2 qoutes 1 to repair the said crack and 1 to repair the whole gable end as the was a number of smaller cracks regards Adam

Refelting
Adam seems a nice chap, was most expensive out of 3 quotes. Adam had to come back due to leaks and some wood not felted. Issues was sorted however have someone coming in January to replace the facias with a more professional look and fix further leaks around facias and guttering. Unfortunately would not use Adam and Crown roofing midlands again.

Refelting
Superb.Adam is a lovely person who is very caring & thoughtful & did a wonderful job.He supplied videos of every aspect of the job as I wasn't there to see it & equally impressed my tenant who was!Also his quote was the lowest but quality was of the highest.If ever I need any more work doing I will always choose Crown Roofing Midlands. called crown roofing on Saturday 14th October with water leaking on my flat roof Adam came out and looked at the roof and booked me on as a emergency repair for the next day which was a Sunday where he arrived on time and completed the work to a high standard I was very pleased with the quality of work and the price all rubbish was cleaned up would definitely recommend
