Install New Shower Unit and Tray
Colin has repeatedly made promises about when work would be completed. I had to contact him over 20 times to confirm dates which is completely unacceptable. He never kept me in the loop about anything unless I asked first. He told me lots of tall tales about why work could not be completed on the dates he promised. In the end, I lost all faith in him and his empty promises. I asked for a refund as I’d paid for materials up front. Colin has still not paid me back in full despite once again making promises. He has been very reluctant to provide proof of purchase for items. He still owes me over £100. Originally, Colin was supposed to remove a shower unit and install a bath with over head shower. I appreciate that this work was harder than anticipated at first glance and work could not be completed in a day. Colin told me there was also a problem with my pipe work which he has fixed but Instead of using a power tool to cut around the flooring (which I would expect any reputable plumber to have access to) he took it upon himself to hack through a layer of lino, laminate and the actual floor boards themselves. This is going to cost me even more money to fix. I believe Colin has had similar complaints from other customers in the past. (Google cl plumbing Stockport rated people for more information) I wish I’d seen these reviews first because I never would have used him if I had, I don’t believe the reviews on this website are a true reflection of this trader. I’d I don’t receive my money back will be opening a complaint with my job quote, and be pursuing through the small claims court. I also intend to contact trading standards.
