I am very lucky to have been self-employed for over 20 years and complete such a huge variety of diverse projects. Dominated by landscaping/ general building in the early years, they grew in complexity and size as my knowledge and experience increased. I have a passion for being creative, and my preference later on was to focus mostly on complete hard and soft landscaping, carpentry, kitchen installation, and especially bathroom creation and installation. Although there have been a few weird and wonderful things too, including some swimming pools and even a few incredible tree house's.
For the past few years I have had a service contract at Sealife aquarium, Brighton, responsible for their carpentry and restorative needs, which includes occasional theming of visitor attraction areas. There is something amazingly satisfying about leaving a room looking like a sunken galleon, or creating a realistic looking tree from cement and expanding foam, knowing that the combination of paint and simple effects can trick the senses, I love it!
I tend now to focus on carpentry services, interior and exterior, and bath/wet room creation and fitting. I enjoy creating a cosy, luxurious, comfortable bathroom space in which to relax and unwind. It's the little things, subtle hidden lighting, or even a dedicated area to prop the I pad that make it personal, and can add just that little extra touch.
