In late July 2023 Daniel responded to a job I posted. I wanted a quote for concrete base in my garden so I can put up a garden office and a shed. After giving me the quote, I told him I have to sort out the fence first before I move onto the base. He and Frank told me they could do the job and told me everything I guess I wanted to hear. They quoted £900 to fix broken fence and replace others, there was a shed in front of part of the fence, which I was waiting for my builders to dismantle and take it away, so I told them to wait until that job is done. They insisted they could do the job and the shed will not be in their way. They also offered to dismantle the shed at a cost which I declined. I agreed they started the fence job. They requested £450 to buy materials which I transferred into Daniel's account. They came and did some work the next day and stated they could not complete the job due to the shed. They insisted on the rest of the £450 which I gave them. Months went by, the builders were not coming to dismantle the shed so I asked Daniel on the 01/12/2023 to come and dismantle it, so he can complete the fence job. He quoted £150 to dismantle the shed and £450 for clearance. Again he insisted I paid the money before the dismantling and clearing of the shed I told him I'll pay half and pay the rest when the job is complete, he said no, the clearing people need their money and asked I transferred the clearance fee of £450 and give him £150 cash on the day he dismantles the shed. He came on the morning of the 03/12/2023 and dismantle the shed and told me the waste collection people will come by 3pm to clear the garden, I paid him £160 cash as I did not have £10. Nobody turned up and I couldn't get hold of Daniel. I finally got him the next day, he told me he was in hospital with his unwell grandson. He states the waste collection people will come during the week to clear the garden. Nobody turned up and he eventually stopped answering my calls and texts. I sent him a text informing him since he has taken money without doing the job, the police will be involved, I got a swift response, a lengthy text which I can't be bothered to get into. I was really hoping, they will come and clear the garden and finish the fence so I can get them out of my life but nothing. I sent Daniel my bank details to pay me back the full amount of the waste clearance fee and balance of the £900 and gave him up to the 29/12/2023.

On the 8th November 2023, Daniel S. Mciner came to my house after I used Checkatrade best builds website to give me a quote on the internal wall in my house which is wet. When I showed Daniel the wall, he straightaway started making holes in the wall without my consent. Then he gave me a quote for filling the holes which I agreed too. He asked me to transfer the money to buy the materials which he said cost £1,738.60. I transferred the money via bank transfer for the materials on the 8th Nov. Daniel was in the room while I was doing the transfer. The same day, after I made the bank transfer, Daniel told me the leak was coming from the roof and he gave me a further breakdown of materials for the roof which he said cost £1,540. On the 14th November, Daniel came to my house to inject cream for the holes in the wall while I was at work. My husband was home and let Daniel inside. Daniel injected the cream filler into the walls but then said he was short of 18 cream for 18 holes which would cost a further £43 per hole. I was at work and I told him to buy the material and I would pay him laterr. He kept harassing me for the money and demanding it immediately while I was busy at work. I told him I would pay him when I got home because I was at work. Daniel complained to his company that I had not paid but I was at work. I paid him a further £774 via bank transfer when I got home that day on the 14th November. A few days later, another man called Francis Dawson (who apparently owns the company) came to supervise Daniel's work. When Daniel climbed the roof, Francis told Daniel to get off the roof in case he slipped and fell off. Daniel and Francis did nothing that day and left and never came back again. I tried ringing Daniel numerous times over two weeks. Daniel kept saying he will come next week but never did. Then Daniel stopped answering my calls and messages. Francis then come over another day saying that since Daniel did not do the work of painting over the holes with fillers, Francis will do some painting. I gave Francis Dawson £185 via bank transfer to paint and for materials. Francis never painted the wall. In brief Daniel and Francis who are supposed to be reputable builders conned me out almost £4,500. They pressured me to make bank transfers and never delivered the work they promised.
