Please please look at the bad reviews here and don't use. Mark is probably the most dishonest and unreliable workman I've used. He left without finishing the job which was all agreed over written email and then told me he couldn't come back despite stupidly having paid for the work in full last year. After weeks (and needing to contact legal to support) he agreed to a refund. This was over 5 months go and he has missed ALL the payment dates with my legal representative and has now ghosted us. We will have to go the next legal step now - please do not use this man and save yourself the grief.

Nice guy but still waiting for him to come back and finish the job in which I paid in full.. the weather hasn’t been good so I accept the wait.. be nice to hear from him but unfortunately I don’t get any messages or replies to my calls.. hopefully with the drier months to come I might get some nice weather for the job to be finished.,

Mark is a genuinely nice man, but very unreliable - sometimes leaving for weeks or a month on one occasion with no contact He works very hard when he’s on site though and did a good job of demolishing previous large raised wooden decking. At superficial level, the work to replace with brick built patio at first view seemed OK, but ended up seeing increasing number of problems. Got so bad that had to use a different builder to finish the work due to unreliability. They’re now rebuilding and re-tiling the brick steps to our patio. Tiles can just be pulled off by hand and can’t be drilled to fix glass edging as tiles not seated properly with wide gaps underneath. They instantly crack when professional builder with very wide experience of fitting these drilled into them. The steps themselves are far too shallow and very hard to walk down for that reason. Having to completely rebuild brick steps to proper, standard step size, as just not fit for purpose. He moved to Devon/Cornwall part way through job in Sussex and resulting very long travel times, at the root of unreliability.

Mark was an extremely polite and hard working man. A joy to do business with. He knew exactly what was required and completed the job to a high standard in a very reasonable time.

We hired Mark for three large patio circles and a decking area. Despite the weather he completed the job in good time. The quality was first rate. And unlike other builders there is no need to make him tea - he brings his own kettle, mug, tea bags and milk! Highly recommended.

Mark has done an excellent job. He has a high attention to detail and takes great care in making everything look beautiful and time resistant. He did not only complete our decking, but he built a lovely Conservatory for us. I will call him again in the future for other similar jobs.

I have paid in full for job. Contacted trader couple weeks later as roof is leaking. Trader stopped replying. Also have not recieved invoice. I had survey from roof company yesterday and was told job was done unprofessionally and fiber was not laid under roof tiles so there is no overlap where both roofs connect hence the leak. The legal action is the only choice and report to trading standards. Please avoid.

Enthusiastic and 'can-do' attitude evident from initial site visit and throughout project. A wide selection of professional skills have transformed what had been an 'eye-sore' into a functional Lean-To and I am most satisfied with final result. Thank you.

Our garden fence was damaged in the February 2022 storm. The old one had wooden posts and Mark quoted to replace the whole fence and gate (gravel boards, concrete posts and feather board panels). He had the winning quote and did a great job. we are very pleased with his price and the work.

Mark, From Art Decko was punctual, polite, tidy and efficient. Quoted a fair & reasonable price and done more than a reasonable job. Excellent service start to finish, would use him again .
