Don't hire this guy and waste your money. After visiting the property and spending 30 min inspecting the job, he gave a FIXED PRICE QUOTE for the job which I accepted. Paid him 50% of the quoted price even when less than 30% of was work was finished!! He also did not come one day and went to work somewhere else. He is very slow and took 2.5 days to remove the wallpaper and paint a box room that did not require plastering. He brought his 2 sons to the job and asked me to pay an extra £80 per day for his sons.!!! Hang on didn't you agree to a fixed price quote? He started demanding 60% more money than the quoted price and when I refused, he asked me to pay full price as he wanted to leave the job without finishing. Why should I pay him all the money when only 30% of the job was finished and he had no intention to finish the job? He started shouting and demanding money and refused to leave the property until payment was made. I was in a hostile situation. I called the police who not only agreed with me but ordered him to leave. I finished the remaining job on my own in just 1 day!!
