I commissioned Ross on the strength of reviews for his previous work. I noted his last review was neutral, giving 3 stars and restricted comment to “completed the job”. I feel I have to give a more detailed review so that others are advised. I would not recommend Ross as a plastering contractor. My experience tells me he has many one off jobs. He did not turn up on three different starting dates. The quality of his work is amateurish, poor and rushed. He almost left me with half finished job yet demanded to be paid in full and in CASH. He even threatened to destroy the place with a hammer in hand if we deduct anything for cleaning or the unfinished work. He rushed through the job; did a total of 10.5 hours over three days (just over 3 hours per day) on a job that was estimated to take 5 full days for two professional plasterers to complete. Spends most of his time on the phone. Arrives around 11am and finished at 12:30pm, 2:30pm and planned to finish at 2:00pm but due to our refusal to pay until he finished the job he ended up leaving at 4:30pm on his third day. He spent his last 2 hours skimming half a bedroom that he forgot to do and other unfinished gaps that he filed-in with his hands and skimmed with a scrapper. Left the place in an absolute mess. Will take us two days solid cleaning and scraping plaster off the walls and floors. We’ll end up paying twice as I have to commission a local plasterer to finish the job properly. Very intimidating and disappointing experience.

Ross, was fantastic, polite and true to his word. Within a few days he replaced the pillar as requested, 10 stars for workmanship, timekeeping, tiding up. Already saved number and will be recommending him to friends and family.

Just had a room done by Ross, he made the process really easy, any questions and he replied within the hour. Very prompt and reliable. The quality of work was excellent and I absolutely intend to use him again in the future!

We posted a job for a garden wall rebuild .. Russ contacted us and came out quickly to look at the job .. His estimate was reasonable and we booked him to do the Job … We have been ripped off by workmen in the passed so was apprehensive… We needn’t have worried ..Russ worked really hard and constantly kept us up to date with any issues .. The job was completed within a week even though he had to do some extra bits on the wall … Iv kept his number for any future work we will probably need .I’m very happy with the finished job …
