Keen to hear if it’s worth getting a conservatory with a tiled roof or just ends up being another expensive job with not much benefit?
I’ve seen mixed advice online and I’m a bit confused. How do I know if a dormer loft conversion needs planning permission or not? Don't want to start serious conversations with builders before I'm clear on this and a few other things
How much would it cost to mastic/silicone a bathroom in north-west London?(new build/installation)
I have bought new kitchen units for my kitchen renovation, but I am finding it very difficult to keep the wall units fastened to the walls properly. I follow the instructions from the pack, to drill and use fixing plugs – but whatever I do they do not seem to get any purchase on the walls. All I seem to achieve is more brick dust on my worktops. Has anyone any advice for this? Could it be the walls and not the units that are the problem? As far as I know, I am drilling for the units correctly, but they definitely haven’t got enough purchase to keep them up there. Any advice would be appreciated!
How much would you charge to fit an outside tap underneath the kitchen window
I have an old chimney and it hasn’t been used in I’d say about fifteen years now. I suddenly thought that for this winter, I’d like to have a chimney fire again for warmth. Is there any reason I should be concerned in using a chimney after so long? Is there a risk that dangerous substances have built up and will fill the air if I used a chimney after so many years? It’s just been on my mind and there’s still a while to go until the cold winter months, so I figured it would be good to find out first!
I manage a small unit with a flat roof that's had a couple of leaks now. Thinking a yearly maintenance contract might work out cheaper than call-outs but what do they typically cost? Any different from what a roofer would charge if I was getting work done on my own house?
