I have a nearly square area of 5 x 5 metres right up to the boundary fences, which I am thinking of building living space, for use as office space and / or temporary living accommodation. I liken it to a studio apartment with kitchen, bathing, living, sleeping areas. What would be the best way to start exploring this project. Would I need planning, architectural services? Any idea of pricing? Sorry for seeming so vague, but any advise would be appreciated at this stage.
My island kitchen extractor fan/hood doesn't seem to be removing steam and I'm assuming I need a new one? It was already in the property when I bought it and the property is a converted chapel with the kitchen on the upper floor, so the chimney part goes up to the roof & is about 1.2m long. My question is, is it possible to change the hood without changing the chimney part? Is it a universal fit? My rough measurements show that the square is abt 29x29cm? The current one is an old baumatic 90cm unit. Thank you.
How much to change one valve? It’s heavily rounded off and unbleedable… Only one radiator needs replacing, possibly two as a second one is getting temperamental and if it’s more cost effective to do 2 for calling a plumber out. Thanks
What are the best paint products/brands for painting a deck?
I'm thinking of buying a chrome radiator. What are the pros and cons of a chrome radiator? Are the chrome radiators most expensive than other options? Thanks in adavnce.

Spotted one tile has come off near the edge. There’s no leak yet but I’m wondering if it’s urgent or can wait a bit before getting fixed?
I have had a look at some glass tile designs and I’m very interested. I’d like to know whether it's worth buying this type of tile. Are they long lasting and durable? Do they have any significant shortfalls over most types of tiles? And what about the cost? Thanks for your time!
