Installation of electric built in oven

Hi I am wanting to buy a new electric oven. At the moment I have a electric oven, but when it gets to a high temperature it fuses the house electrics. I only have a normal double socket. Would I need a cooker point installing, and if so, how much roughly for that and to install the oven.

Are paint pads better than using a normal paint roller for walls and ceilings?

Hello I am undergoing some redecoration of a bedroom at the moment. Recently we have replastered the walls and applied a first coat to the walls. Afterwards, we will be applying a second coat to the walls, then some minor repainting work on the ceiling afterwards. I have been told that using paint pads can provide a more even finish and are less messy to use, than normal paint rollers. Has anyone had any past experience of using both to compare? An even coat is my main priority with this, so if I can manage this with less mess using the paint pads, I’ll be keen to try them out.

Does a gas hob need to be fitted by a Gas Safe registered engineer?

Hello all I am in the process of kitchen renovations at the moment and will need a new gas hob to be installed. I had thought his would be a task only a Gas Safe registered engineer would be able to do legally, however the builder involved in my renovation work tells me that it is a simple change of disconnecting the old hob and reconnecting to the new, so it would be too minor to need a specialist and that he could do it himself. Is this the case, or am I having the wool pulled over my eyes? I’d like to hear from the horse’s mouth on this, from actual engineers.
