Wisteria all over roof

Hello - we are considering buying a house where the wisteria has been left to run riot and now covers three sides of the roof. It is an old three storey high building so very difficult to access. Roofer or tree surgeons ? Any ideas of what this will cost ?

"Probably roofer will be able to complete as I'm a roofer I would probably charge around the £3/400 mark just because it's 3 storey."

"I'm unable to give an idea pf pricing without seeing the task at hand.

Regular, constant pruning is about the only way to keep wisteria under control.

To remove it completely, it will need cutting down. Then what's left will need to be soaked in a suitable herbicide.

NB: Chemical control should only be used as a last resort, as organic approaches are more environmentally friendly."

"You would be best to cut at source allowing wisteria to die off then will be slightly more easier to remove
Depending on sqm you could be looking at £1,000-£1,500.00 for scaffolding
£1,500.00 £2,000 to remove and make good damaged tiles"

"Pricing such a job would be impossible with out taking a look first due to access and potential damaged tiles etc needed, Although The wisteria needs cutting at the base and leaving to die of then removing to make sure all the Spurs are dead."

"As beautiful as wisteria is, it can cause havoc on your home. A roofer, tree surgeon and potentially a builder would work together on a project like this. The cost would depend on the size of the property, the amount of wisteria were actually talking about and the damaged caused. However, it’s doable!"

"If you are taking the whole tree down any handy man can do that for you just if it’s got under the tiles and damaged anything you are gonna need a roofer"

"Firstly go into the loft and see what damage as been caused by the wisteria, wisteria will lift and break tiles on the roof while piercing through the felt I to the loft, you will need tree surgeon first then a roofer to renew the whole roof, cost wise who knows as we have no pics or measurements"
