Who organises contractors?

Does the builder or homeowner usually organise for plumbers and electricians on an extension project?

"Hi I depends on whether you ask you builder to do it all of you just do asked him to do the structure
But as a rule when asking for a quote they will let you know what they will do
Most builders do have contacts they use
Allways ask for more details I not sure
Good luck steve"

"Either the customer or the building contractor. Sometimes it’s worth a firm that does the lot instead of you arranging individual trades."

"The builder should organise all contractors as that’s what they should have included in the quotation"

"It all all depends on what building contractors you use we supply all trades so the home owner has no involvement but that is all set out in the contract you will have to ask the contractors you would like to use but do your research its normally cheaper if you organise the other trades but if it all gos wrong you are responsible not the contractors not a simple answer am afraid mjs builders kent"

"When we carry out extensions and new builds we organise and coordinate absolutely everything. However, this is all agreed in the pricing prior to any work starting. It’s very important that any quotes you get include absolutely everything you need so that you don’t have any surprises. We always give our clients a general breakdown for transparency and a rough timeline so that everyone knows what to expect. Many builders operate differently so it’s important to choose one who communicates well and who is trustworthy and reliable."

"Hi,

This often catches our clients and its good to know this before you start.

Clients can waste a lot of time trying to organise trades and coordinate them. Its another job on top of your day.

If you have the time to do it maybe learn something new too. Co ordinating that is a service really. If you you like a basic template we use for jobs get in touch and I'll send you something."
