Which type of mouse trap works best?

What type of mouse trap works the best? The type they run into or the snap action ones? It's for use in a basement.

I would not go for a mousetrap I would go for a sticky pads better in catching rats and mice

Unlikely to control a mouse infestation with mouse traps alone. Rodenticide is far more effective. Dont waste your time and money on mouse traps as although you may catch the odd one you'll never get them all.  Call pest control

Either are just a good as one or another if you have a tasty treat to go for! Tunnel design  traps are better if any risk of a non target species was to be around ie cats, ect

Any spring trap bait with a little chocolate or peanut butter check these regular within every 12 hours if possible

Generally most mouse traps do work well, it's your positioning of the trap and food in your trap is the key in catching

Use rat traps for mice, use peanut butter as the lure. Dont buy cheap traps and dont expect the mice to run into them, they know what a trap is and will avoid so hide them or cover them well
