When to report an electrical incident

In what cases is it necessary to report an electrical incident to the HSE? Are there specific rules laid out for this?

"Would depend on what the incident is, it could be a component that has failed and as a result, an accident has happened, we aren't aware of what the incident entails.

Personally, I think it should be reported with the details and they will need to decide if it needs to be investigated.

"You need to elaborate on your question a bit more. Was this at home or a building site? If it was a building site your site agent should be notified immediately as this could pose a danger to other trades."

"All incidents should be reported.

I believe that you can report anonymously if needed.

Health and safety is always of paramount importance and incidents involving electricity are particularly dangerous and may even present a danger to life.

Call the Incident Contact Centre (google for phone number ) opening hours Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5.00pm"
