Washing Machine problem

Hi,

We just installed a washing machine, a relative did it who has done several during their lifespan and has never encountered any issues. However we have just moved into a new property and installed one, but we cannot get any water flow to it. Water around the house works fine, including the hot water.

Any ideas??

"check that the plastic lever on washmac valve is not just turning as you turn it to open,as they wear on the spindle, so as you turn it they do not open the valve."

"Hi,

Check you have opened the washing machine isolate valve. If you have unscrew the water connection from the washing machine to the valve and then crack it open. If no water comes out trace the pipe back to see if there is another isolation that's been switched off. If not, then the valve has got stuck and needs replacing. Call a plumber.

Thanks"

"Hi there could be a couple of faults
1st the washing machine fitting on the pipework is not open or not opening correctly, to sort this turn off the valve remove the blue/red or grey pipe get a jug and open the valve making sure the water flows correctly.
If this is ok then check there is no caps in the new pipe or in the inlet to the washing machine
Hope this helps"

"Hi. Have you checked for any isolation valves in around the area you are wanting to install the washing machine? Usually there will either have a leaver or you may need a flat blades screw driver. The handle has to be inline with the pipe for it to be open. And this also goes for the any other valve."

"There will be a tap where the washing machine connects to the water supply, make sure that is turned in the correct direction."

"Hi David re no water to auto washer
It could be a number of things
Firstly I would check there are no isolation valves fitted prior to washer tap if so make sure it is turned on
Secondly make sure water is flowing through the auto washer tap that you fit hose to some times the plastic turn lever is turning but not moving the internal spindle to tap the lever is usually blue in colour if cold fill only
Lastly check filters in ends of washer hose are not blocked if so remove them clean and refit
Hope this helps
