Does a vessel sink drain slowly? If so, why?

No a vessel sink does not drain any slower it could be a blockage or there’s not a good fall on the waste outlet"

"Some Vessel sinks don’t have overflows so there is no where for the air to flow out as the water is drying out"

"They should drain just as quickly as any other sink, possibly blocked with hair, traditional plug & chain wastes had the grid just below the plug which was easy to see if it was clogged & easy to clean, modern wastes tend to clog further down & not so easy to clear. Try a piece of wire bent into a hook at the end to hook any blockage out."
