Using high-gloss paint over imperfections

Does a high gloss paint product show imperfections on a surface? Is there any ways around this or will I just need to use another type of product instead?

"Hi,

If you are unsure, before painting, follow these steps,

Rub the surface all over with a low grit sandpaper if any section feels rough. Sand until blended and smooth.

Get a primer & undercoat of your choice and colour, stir and apply first .

Then apply your gloss or eggshell paint.

Note make sure you stir the paint properly

This will look great after these process"

"Unfortunately gloss paint, silk, will show imperfections on the wall and ceiling, I advise you to use a matte paint"

"Because of its high reflection, gloss paint can highlight surface imperfections. High gloss paints have the highest reflective appearance.
I would suggest prepping the surface pre glossing"

"if you try sanding and filling any imperfections, and apply spot priming to the imperfecting areas, lightly sand imperfections again, and then apply a eggshell finish paint, oil based being ideal due to the opacity, hope this helps"

"You need to do preparation on the surface you are painting sanding and filling the imperfections, a gloss finish will lite them were as a Matt finish will hide them some watt"
