uPVC door locking issue

I’ve got a upvc door and it turns with the key in place but won't actually lock?

"That means you've got a faulty locking mechanism or a faulty key cylinder, meaning one of them needs replacing"

"Sounds like the mechanism has gone and needs replacing.

If the door has been hard to lock for a while the door may have dropped (meaning the constant forcing the door to lock has finally killed the mechanism) and needs realigned otherwise you will have the same problem again.

You need a locksmith to sort this."

"This could be that you need the lock changing as the key is not connecting to lock the door."

"Seems like you have either of the following. A faulty cylinder or gearbox. If you could try a different cylinder if it works then great if not you will need the mechanisms changed."

"It could be a Euro Cylinder fault, or, far more likely a faulty Multi Point Lock gearbox."

"Hiya, it could be a few different things causing this. It could be a faulty euro cylinder, the door could be out of alignment or the gearbox/ mechanism could be faulty. Its a case of finding which is causing the problem and fixing it. Hope this helps, many thanks-Neil"

"if you look on the inside of the door you will see a plate with screws you can adjust this to make your handle lock when you push upwards you need to push your handles up for the key to lock the door but if this still doesn’t work you mite need a new lock thay are easy to take out and fit just take your old lock to screwfix and thay will give you the same one

hope this help

"The cylinder either needs replacing as the cam is worn or the gearbox has failed."

"Hi
This could be a couple of things. The lock itself may be faulty and not attaching to mech in door to lock or the mech in the door itself is faulty and may need replacing."

"Is the lock working when door is open? if so it may just need adjusting ,if not your centre lock is broken, it might be possible to change that lock, sometimes they can’t be change which means a full mechanisam"
