Upvc door harder to open

Hi
I have upvc door and i had problem with the key lock. I changed with yale and now i have difficulty to open the door from outside . When i turn the key and pull the handle down i need to move the door many times or to turn the key harder and feel like i will brake it. Is that the key lock or the mechanism of the door?

"It could be a number of issues. Depending on age the door could have warped or dropped. If the euro cylinder was put in and the cam not balanced inside the gearbox it could catch a the turn. Generally it has nothing to do with the brand of the Euro cylinder but if it’s not been measured correctly either then it catches.

"It's likely to be the mechanism is faulty. If you have had a key cut then it could be the new key but if you haven't and you're using the original then your mechanisms likely failing"

"It does sound to me like it's the actual mechanism itself but make sure the door lines up first as that can be a problem."

"If you take the lock out and test the operation of the lock / cylinder with the key and it turns smoothly Tharen is not the lock , it does sound as if you a issue with your mechanism / gearbox or possibly alignment"

"Try it with the door open, if it's still hard to move it's probably the mechanism if it's fine when it's open it's possibly not aligned properly."

"It could be that your door has dropped a little it may need a small adjust ment to the hinges or lock keeps"

"A simple troubleshooting guide for a stubborn door!

Swing Open the door and lock the door normally: If the mechanism works properly and you feel no issue then there is a problem with door alignment.

Misalignment:

1st: Misalignment can be fixed by door hinges (if hinges have adjustments).

2nd: Misalignment can be fixed by toe and healing process though its a bit complicated and a professional should do that."
