Upgrading door parts to limit draught?

Would still upgrading parts of my doors (e.g. door knob, latches, hinges) help reduce draught along with other measures such as draught stoppers? In other words is upgrading door parts in of itself a way of reducing draught and weatherproofing door?

"Upgrading your door to limit draught as much as posible will require intermiscent brush door strips. This is a fire and smkoe seal which is routered out at head of door, hinge side and at locking side of door to complete. Also, making sure all lock are closing right onto striking plate."

"Changing the door parts IE hinges and handles would not really deniffit in Amy way unless there are big gaps round your door and frame. You would need draft stripes and things. Or completely upgrade to fire doors to complete stop the drafts"

"Getting good quality locks and handles will stop that draught coming in yes. And also depends on the door"

"It may make a slight difference but it’s the door fit, gaps around the door, seals and door material that will make the biggest difference.

"The most important thing to help stop draught is to make sure the door is correctly installed, so that there are no excessive gaps and it shut firmly to."

"Hello
Replacing any parts you mentioned will only be of benefit if the door does not fit well into the frame.
Adjusting the lock plate in the frame may provide a better fit. As would adjusting the hinge seating, however these may be time consuming and may still not provide a good seal.
Therefore fitting a draft excluding strip Around the frame may be better and cheaper.part of the door or frame is warped. Fitting a keyhole cover may help where you have a mortise type lock where the key can fit from both sides.
Most draft is from under the door .. more difficult to see and seal. A draft excluding strip can be fitted even an old fashioned knitted roll or sewn material sausage dog excluder pushed up against the base of the door will help"

"No changing ironmongery doesn’t reduce draught’s, reducing gaps around door margins helps with draught control, also a seal or a gasket on your doorstop and drop down seal in bottom of door works"

"placing draught stoppers will help but the only that would help is the letter box being replaced too."
