Timber frame kits for extensions

We're thinking of using a timber frame kit for our extension and leaving some of the wood exposed inside. However, I'm worried about fire safety as it'll house part of our kitchen. Are there any building regs etc to be aware of or things we should do to make it fire safe?

"As long as you not silly and put the hob directly next to the exposed timber you will be ok, also the plasterboard should be the pink fire resistant ones which will help, I also think every kitchen should have a fire blanket near and a small foam extinguisher under the sink."

"All extensions require building regulations even if planning is not needed
They will advise you what you can and cannot do
This will ensure you're following the up to date regs"

"All kitchen structures need to be fd60 if their was a fire you would get 1 hour worth of protection.
This applies to the parties walls as well as the ceiling."

"Hi there, I am currently working on a timber framed commercial build, and we have an internal wall finish of Birch plywood. To tackle this same issue you are referring to we are using a thermoguard Fire Varnish clear finish fire retardent Treatment to achieve euroclass Bs2 d0 (Class 0) and provide certificate application. 1 ct fire varnish base coat and 1 top coat Fire varnish overcoat. The finish must be applied before the panels are installed to avoid damage or marks. I hope this helps"
