Subfloor and floor longevity comparison

Do subfloors tend to last as long as the flooring itself? If they tend to differ, in what ways would they?

"Subfloors can last longer than the flooring itself. This is all depending on key factors, the flooring you have and how busy the area is.
I hope this helps.

"What Is a Subfloor? A subfloor is the solid material beneath your floor covering. It is attached to your home's floor joists and acts as a base for your finished flooring, such as carpet, hardwood, laminate, tile, etc. Typically, a subfloor is made of plywood or oriented strand board (OSB) panels. the subfloor will last longer if there is no leakage across the floor"
