Storing spare bricks outside

I've been told not to store my spare bricks on the ground as frost can damage them, but surely bricks are frost proof? Can I really damage them by leaving them stacked in my garden?

"Yes if to much moisture gets to the bricks and matched with cold weather frost can damage your bricks but easy sorted just put plastic covers under and over your materials and you'll be fine 👍"

"Hello

Yes they just need to be off the ground slightly to stop any damp/ water absorbing into the brick , also I would recommend covering them try to keep them water tight at all costs 👍"

"Yes the moisture in the brick when freezes can blow the face of the brick off, so it’s best to cover them up."
