Steel bath maintenance

How do you maintain a steel bath? We're thinking of putting one in our bathroom but we're not sure whether it's durable or needs any special attention.

""Hi in my years of experience I will still choose a good quality steel bath over the composite types.
They last for many years and do not need much attention if installed correctly. All baths need cleaning and this is where the problem begins. Read the instructions regarding the cleaning maintenance and all will be fine.""

"It sounds a bit unbelievable, but always good to keep your old tub and then alternatively try a newer model. Of course that's usually heavier but on the other side, more durable, and has its own unbeatable history (he, he)"
