Soft garden decking

Hi, I have outdoor decking and some of the boards have become soft and feel like they're ready to give way, completely my fault as it hasn't been treated in years. What I want to know is, can it be saved with products like Ron seal wood rot hardener or will the boards need replacing.

"It would be best to replace the deck boards. If they are soft it means the wood is rotting so can’t be saved unfortunately"

"Probably would need replacing not 100% certain without seeing the boards"

"Agred with others comments. Sounds like they need replacing, possibly the framework needs looking at to. Would need to conduct a site visit to assess in person."

"Hi, unfortunately in this case the boards will need replacing. You can use protective water proofer sealant on your new boards to stop it happening again also using a DPC around the necessary timbers to help tackle the water in the future."

"Good afternoon. For safety if the boards have already become soft you would be better to replace and then treat the entire decking. I recommend treating at least once a year."

"No unfortunately it’s too late. If the decking has gone soft and fragile then there’s a good chance the Frame has began to rot as well. Only removing boards would confirm this. Composite decking is the way forward no maintenance. Hope this helps a little bit. Kevin."

"Unfortunately the damaged boards will need replacing the products only prevent rot from happing and should be applied as stated by manufacturer or in my own opinion at the end of the summer season ready for harsh winter weather"
