Smell in sink even after cleaning and when I run the tap

Question

Have cleaned my sink drains with normal cleaner but there is still a smell of rotten eggs. Have looked at the u bend and it’s clear of clogs. Any advice appreciated

Are there washing machine / or dishwasher spigot connections to the waste trap ?

What I find on kitchen taps is the flexible hose connecting the overflow to the waste usually gets filled with kitchen waste and food etc... I'm sure that will be what is causing the smell here!

You could be getting smells from washing machine or dishwasher if it’s using the same waste as the sink.

Hi most probably blocked slightly further down.

This sounds like there is an issue with perhaps the U-bend which isnt working properly and the smell is rising direct from the drains, or perhaps the sink waste needs removing and properly cleaning from waste and grime and refitting.

Maybe is outside blocked. Where the pipe is connected to the gully!

Could be waste trap or blocked further down the waste pipe

If everything is cleared u bends etc this will definitely be coming from further this will need to be inspected if the smell doesn’t go away or if blocks up again within a few days
