"When it rains, sometimes this can cause rain water to get into the aerial system through possibly damaged cables, or wet objects such as leaves or other debris as a result this can sometimes cause a loss of signal or a breaking in the channel reception until the system dries out."

"This is most likely rain water getting into the Aerial or cabling. You may require 1 or both replacing."

"Moat likeley caused by rain getting into the aerial system by the aerial itself or cable or possibly amp if if you have one on the aerial pole"

"It could be the insulation on the cable from the chimney is breaking down, how old is it?"

"Hi, this either means there's a crack in the cable and water is getting in or water is getting into the connection at the back of the actual Aerial."

"With signal you might be on the fringe were it works but with bad weather rain & wind you can lose signal if the aerial or the cables has a tear in the cable and the water is penetrating the cable cutting down the signal
Also if your tv is tuned to the wrong transmitter the problem can be highlighted by
Dad weather if the aerial has not been aligned with a aerial meter"

"Normally water ingress at the aerial connections, and the splitter/amplifier may be upside down. Coax cable can perish and crack if it is 20-plus years, especially on a south-facing evaluation."
