Shower not staying hot

My shower keeps running cold on me. It heats up alright at first but then goes cold after about 30 seconds to a minute. I have tried turning it up but I can't turn it up much more. Do I need a new one? How much is a new electric shower?

"It sounds to me like it’s the thermostat you can buy spares online but depending how much they are sometimes it’s cheaper to replace the shower and it also gives you a new guarantee."

"Thermostatic valve is at fault.
You need to change the cartridge or replace the shower valve."

"The shower keeps delivering incorrect water temperature because the thermostat inside the shower has become faulty. it is not registering the correct temp. a new shower unit can cost anything from around 50 pounds up and installation i would say between 50-150 pounds. hope this helps"

"It’s normally the shower cartridge but if you have a combo boiler it could be the plate heat exchanger"
