Shed consumer unit

I have carport with consumer unit installed. There is an existing spur run with armoured cable to twin socket in adjacent shed.
Sadly there is no lighting circuit.
Can I install consumer unit to replace socket and wire lights and couple of socket pairs to replace original spur socket.

"This depends on the cable size from consumer unit to shed if its 2.5mm you could just have a 3A fused spur running from the socket to a lighting circuit or a 13A spur suppling some more sockets"

"You can wire more sockets from the already installed one. You can wire a fused spur with a 5 amp fuse in and wire the lighting from that. As long as the existing spur run with armoured cable is a spur circuit and not a spur off of a ring main ."

"Yes if your armour cable size is 6mm you can put a small fuse box instead with two circuits one for power one for lighting"

"Why don't you just come out of spur and use a 3amp fuse to control light"

"Yes absolutely. What you need to do is get a feed for a permanent live and run it across to a switch or a ceiling rose and and connect it up. In regards to the Mini C.u you can install it with a 10mm cable from mains and add a breaker on I.e 6amp for lights and 16amp for sockets of radial circuit"

"Depending on the size of your SAW cable & its fusing, there is a possibility of changing this to a Mini/garage Cons' Unit C/w Rcd, or by just looping off a Switch fused Outlet, inserting a 3/5amp fuse and wiring a light from that.
I would advise to Consult a Sparks and not undertake the work yourself!"

"Without looking I’m not sure
Is there any spare ways in the consumer unit for another mcb"

"The answer to this is yes as long as you don’t over load the circuit supplying the garage"

"Just add some more sockets and then add a fuse spur to downsize for lighting circuit and then run lights from fuse spur"

"If you mean that you have a circuit running from the consumer unit into the shed, then yes you could do that but it depends on the size of the cable. If its only 2.5mm then it wouldn't be sufficient. If you put sockets on 10 amp and lights on 6 amp breakers you might be able to do it but if you plug in too many things it might be tripping the breaker."
